I suppose sketchbooks are really places that ideas either germinate or terminate. Either, way an idea that takes a hold of you is worth investigation. Its a rather freeing endeavor to take the monkey off your back, give him a banana and tell him to go play somewhere else. Sketchbooks don’t have to be anything special, just yours.
Such is the case with this sketch entitled “Possession”. Right now, I’m not sure what form this sketch will take. Maybe it will remain a small, more polished watercolor or a larger oil painting, in which the relationships between line and form become more finely tuned. I don’t know. But I am ok with that. For right now.
